Christian Education Ministries

There are a number of different small group settings in which Christian formation occurs. Regardless of the settings, these groups share a common purpose: Make disciples of Jesus, help our students develop a deeper faith in God and instill confidence to held fast to a Christian lifestyle in the world.

  • Youth Groups

  • Family Sundays are held the 4th Sunday of the month. Children assist as lay readers, ushers, greeters, and acolytes during the worship service.
  • Sonshine Time

Here at Faith UMC, we understand that young children sometimes have a difficult time sitting still for long periods of time. Sonshine Time is held in the Isaac room and starts at 10:15 a.m but you can join us anytime during the service. This program is for children in K – 5th grade.  Join us as we learn about the Bible and God’s plan for us.  And there is snack time too!!

  • Nursery

Faith UMC has a wonderful nursery filled with toys that you may utilize whenever the need arises.  There are rocking chairs and a changing station. Plus, there is a speaker system so you can still enjoy listening to the service while your little one sleeps or plays.

  • Campership

Faith UMC knows the impact a Christian camping experience can have in a person’s spiritual life. Monetary assistance of 50% payment is offered to children of Faith UMC, however, opportunities are available throughout the year for campers to earn additional monetary assistance via volunteering at Faith UMC.

  • Vacation Bible School (VBS)

Each summer Faith UMC hosts a community VBS. The daily sessions are filled with drama, crafts, games, music and snacks-all to reinforce the Biblical truths.

  • Volunteer opportunities exist within the Christian Education Ministries. If you have the desire to bring children closer to God, please consider volunteering!
  • Faith UMC has adopted a Safe Sanctuary policy to insure that the children who participate in our ministries are not put into precarious situations that would jeopardize their health, physical safety, and well-being. Faith UMC requires PA criminal check & child abuse history clearances for all teachers and persons who interact with children.
