Homeless City of Boxes

On November 5th many of the Youth at Faith Church constructed a City made from Boxes.

Our Youth learned how fortunate we are to have homes to go to and warm beds to sleep in.

Cindy P., Joy S. and Dan P. served our youth a warm noodle soup, bread and jam from the church kitchen on the evening of the sleep out.  Youth Leader Ashley D., and helpers Tracie B., Gary S., and Dan P. joined the group as they continued the evening outside in the church parking lot in their box homes.

The temperature was frigid and the fire ring was a temporary warm spot.  The youth tolerated the cold in their boxes until 6:00am.  In the morning the youth returned into the church to search for their breakfast bags and attend church.

Thank you to everyone that participated in this touching learning experience. God Bless our Homeless people.  Prayers are always being said for these individuals.   Now we know more about what the homeless endure every night and day.
